Neo-Nazi leaders guilty of running crime gang and murdering Antifa MC.

A few years back a Greek Antifa MC was murdered by a neo-nazi crime gang. Today they have all been found guilty.

Killah P's mother, who lost her only son, is the person that most personified the struggle to send these thugs to prison. She fought long and hard and won against a vicious opponent that you can never underestimate.

Hopefully they are gone for good now and we have learnt the lessons to not let the same thing happen again.

I am proud that hiphop the music and culture that we love can be a powerful medium for societal change and can provide a voice for the marginalized and motivation for people to fight back against injustice and not just a marketing machine selling luxury products to people that haven't even met their basic needs.

Peace

Royce Da 5'9 has launched The Ryan Montgomery Foundation to combat the stigmas against seeking mental health treatment and help provide care to people in need. As part of his first initiative, the veteran MC has partnered with the Michigan affiliate of The National Alliance On Mental Illness and CNS Healthcare, which are both based in Detroit.

"As a person of color who has seen a therapist for many years now, I know how important it is to talk about your issues with an unbiased mental health care professional," Royce said in a press release. "My people often think seeking a therapist is taboo. It's my mission to dispel that myth and give light to those who believe there is no way out of the darkness."

Noname spits a written to Jay Electronica beat

this is a freestyle but ppl think they're smart for not knowing that freestyles can be written. from Big Daddy Kane:

In the 80's when we said we wrote a freestyle rap, that meant it was a rhyme that you wrote that was free of style. Meaning it's not a subject matter, it's not a story about a women, it's not a story about poverty, it's basically a rhyme just bragging about yourself. So it's basically free of style, that's really what a freestyle is.

Off the top of the head, we just called that "off the dome", when you don't write it, just say whatever comes to mind. Really, a freestyle is a rhyme that you write that's free of style.

When we went off the top of the head that would just be something we did just playing around like on the corner to see who would mess up first.

To me, this whole rap thing is an art form and with art, you paint a picture. And when you look at a list of the greatest lyricists that did they thing, they wrote they rhymes.

Bushwick Bill's legacy

Posted: 07 Oct 2020 05:48 PM PDT

Today after reading about Scarface and how he's going through kidney failure, it reminded me that Bushwick Bill died back in 2019. I hope Scarface gets the help he needs!

Along with NWA, the Geto Boys were one of the pioneering groups of Gangsta Rap, a genre that may have seemed like a fad at the time, but here we are more than 30 years later. I know I damn near wore out their debut tape in junior high, and I still have my copy of their We Can't Be Stopped CD (one of the best album covers EVER, by the way). Who knows how Houston rap would have developed without the Geto Boys...

In addition to being a member of one of Gangsta Rap's pioneering groups, Bushwick Bill was a Jamaican immigrant with dwarfism, and this made his achievements in the rap game even more meaningful having to deal with those challenges.

I feel like his death should have gotten more media coverage because he truly was a legend in the rap world.
