cover

the cover lists producers as Rocky, Skepta, Hector Delgado, Kelvin Krash, Nort Ollem, Shlohmo, and D33J

not clear whether this is an album, single, or film (if i had to guess i'd say song/short film) [edit: looks to be a single and a music video with Rihanna in it]

[DISCUSSION] Juicy J & Lex Luger - Rubba Band Business 2 (10 Years Later)

Posted: 03 May 2022 08:10 AM PDT

On May 2, 2011, Memphis, TN rapper-producer and Three 6 Mafia co-founder Juicy J released the Rubba Band Business 2 mixtape alongside producer Lex Luger through Trap-A-Holics.

The mixtape itself, a 77-minute length 28-track behemoth, includes notable songs like Zip And A Double Cup, So Damn Fucked Up, Stoner's Night, Who da Neighbors?, Erryday, and Get to Meet A G, among many, many others. The tape itself was primarily produced by Lex Luger, but also had tracks produced by Juicy J himself, ID Labs, Sonny Digital, and Big Jerm. Features on the tape include Travis Porter, Billy Wes, Curren$y, Project Pat, Wiz Khalifa, Machine Gun Kelly, VABP, and Casey Veggies.

Discussion topics:

  • Favorite tracks from the mixtape?
  • Thoughts on Lex Luger's production?
  • How does it hold up 10 years later?
  • Where do you rank it alongside other trap albums of the early 2010s?
