[DISCUSSION] Mac Miller - Faces (5 Years Later)

Today marks the 5 year anniversary of one of the greatest mixtapes of all time, something some people might feel the need to scoff at for whatever reason, and what I feel to be Mac's best piece of work

Littered with features from close friends from Q to Vince, Thundercat to Earl, and with some surprise spots from artists such as Mike Jones (who?) and Rick Ross it's long and self indulgent and is a deep dive into the mind of someone not in a good place occasionally having a good time to distract from everything else

I can't believe it's been 5 years honestly, it feels like it just came out yesterday it feels just as fresh and I don't know who to push at but this needs to be on streaming services (all samples intact, Meatballs and all) like yesterday

One year ago today Playboi Carti released his debut album "Die Lit".

The album has gone on to receive critical acclaim from sites such as Complex, Noisey, and Pitchfork. It would also go on to debut at number three on the US Billboard 200 with 61,000 album-equivalent units of which 5,000 were pure album sales.

"Die Lit is a reminder of the power of simplicity, as the album is full of effortless vibes and hypnotic flows that create an array of catchy, uncomplicated tracks. Carti explores different vocal inflections, and he emphasizes his Atlanta accent in his delivery."
