If you're looking for a recommendation give a description/music link/artist so that other people will know what you want.

Example: "I want to hear an artist that sounds like old Kanye production" (you can get more specific but usually enough). And then someone will respond with recommendations X, Y, and Z.

You can also leave a top level comment recommending an artist/project/scene that you think others might like if they like X, Y, and Z.

Example: "You guys should check out DJ Mustard's mixtape Ketchup RIYL (recommended if you like) post-hyphy and minimalistic west coast beats"

Remember, the point of this thread is to share music, try not to post stuff that's already really popular unless it answers someone's question.

The more descriptive you guys are with your posts, the easier it is to help you find what you want. Just stating an artist's name isn't that helpful since you might only like one specific aspect of that artist's music.

[DISCUSSION] Jay-Z & Kanye - Watch the Throne (10 Years later)

Hard to believe it's been 10 years since this dropped. Jay's last album before this was BP3...so I really had no idea what to expect, then this drops, and wow...one hell of a collab album! I remember the Otis video premier being highly anticipated...I also remember Game's 20min diss using the otis beat... I regret not going to the tour, I heard it was crazy.

Not sure where'd I rank it in Ye or Jay's discography, but I always thought it was a solid effort from both

How's it holding up for y'all? Still return to it! Favourite tracks still in rotation?

Personally still think the album is great. I don't come back to it in full often, but most of the songs are still in my playlists rotation.

Since the LOX and especially Jadakiss is getting their flowers and in the spotlight right now, let's revisit his highly anticipated debut album released exactly today, 20 years ago. I swear to god everyone thought he had next. Talks of him taking the mantle to be KONY, as well as the back and forth with Hov/the Roc. if you recall, this was the time Hov was jumping on the same songs as Kiss (best of me, Fiesta, etc)

This drops, and it was...ok. Had some bangers like We Gonna Make It, Knock Yourself Out, Show Discple, None Ya'll Are Better...but also had too many skits and filler tracks (something Kiss still suffers from today)

Maybe he's just not an album guy, but his 16's are top notch
