[LEAK] KANYE WEST - MBDTF (RECORD4HYPE.ZIP) [OG VERSION]

Posted: 27 Jul 2020 04:13 AM PDT

A completely alternate version of the album with many many many differences has leaked on /r/YandhiLeaks. For those unaware, this was an early copy sent to Hype Williams to reference for the movie. This has been a holy grail for Kanye fans for this entire decade. record4hype.zip has been cracked at last. I cannot believe this.

[FIRST IMPRESSIONS] Guru - Jazzmatazz, Vol. 2: The New Reality (25 Years Later)

Posted: 27 Jul 2020 11:03 AM PDT

Guru's Jazzmatazz, Vol. 2: The New Reality is the second studio album by American hip hop recording artist Guru. This second release to the Jazzmatazz series slightly toned down the jazz rap punch that made the first volume memorable. It was nevertheless critically acclaimed in its own right. Guests featured on this release include Freddie Hubbard, Donald Byrd, Ramsey Lewis, Kool Keith, Patra and Jamiroquai; other musicians reprising their roles from the previous release include Branford Marsalis, Courtney Pine and Ronny Jordan.

According to Billboard music charts, this album slightly outpeformed its predecessor; it peaked at #16 and #73 on Billboard's "Top R&B / Hip Hop Albums and "Billboard 200" albums charts respectively. The single "Watch What You Say" (featuring Chaka Khan) peaked at #13 and #93 on the Billboard's "Hot Dance Music / Maxi-Singles" and "Hot R&B / Hip Hop Singles & Tracks" charts respectively.

Jazzmatazz, Vol. 2: The New Reality was released on July 18, 1995, via the Chrysalis imprint.

[Discussion] Young Dolph & Key Glock - Dum and Dummer (One Year Later)

Posted: 27 Jul 2020 06:19 AM PDT

LET THE BAND PLAY! It's been a year since Memphis' independent trap rapper Young Dolph linked up with his protege Key Glock to release the collab album 'Dum and Dummer'.

Produced by underrated beat smith Bandplay, the album exceeded expectations in terms of commerical sales and remains a staple in my playlist today, especially while driving or at the gym. While the lyrics and material is predictably lacking, the duo's chemistry and Bandplay's hard-hitting yet varied production ensures that the album doesn't feel bloated and run for too long.

It was the most surprising album in my top 5 most played projects of last year and some of my favourites include - Water on Water, Guess What? Crashin Out, Reflection, Blac Loccs, 1 Hell of a Life and Dum & Dummer.

What are your thoughts on the album? Which were your favourite songs?
