If y'all remember we've done [HYPE WEEK] a bunch of times.

Previous weeks: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. If someone wants to make a Spotify playlist of everything that's been posted so far I can add it to the OP and future OPs.

Rules

Artists qualify if they're never gotten 50 or more upvotes on /r/HipHopHeads (counting features)

Formatting:

Artist - Title

Description: no character minimum but some things that might be good to include: where the rapper is from, what subgenres they might fall into, have cosigns they might have, what their influences are/who they sound like.

Example:

Aaron May - Let Go

17 year old Houston Rapper, biggest influences are J Cole and Nas.

The highest upvoted songs might be collected for a playlist or something.

Heavily recommended: If you post a song, listen to another song and comment on it. Otherwise it doesn't rly work that well.

From Baltimore, Maryland, he's a member of Spillage Village (collective including the man himself, JID, Earthgang, and Hollywood JB). This song was on Spillage Village's 2017 album "Bears Like This Too Much", but this year, Bryant dropped this single version where the beat is slightly altered from the original.

FreDD c. is an artist from Lexington KY. LAKESHOW is the single from his yet to be released third album. He makes aggressive yet conscience records that trend towards a more abstract sound sonically. All of his production is from partner Cory D. Influences are Nas, J. Cole, & Ab Soul among others.

Listen to Huey Briss he's very good. He doesn't really have a super underground sound but he's not super poppy sounding either, he's just really good. He's got some really good production and bars and has a really nice delivery.

An incredible lo-fi/jazz rap song. First verse is incredible, very powerful start to the song. Psymun's such a versatile producer, I had absolutely 0 idea he's produced Chanel (Go Get It) for Thugger and Fine China for Future & Juice WRLD

Kill Bill x Rav - Lovedrug (Off That)

Couple of dudes from South Carolina, tons of tracks out there, real hard workers. Love the hook on this song in particular.

2019 XXL Freshman Freestyle Dates

Back again for the third year to give you the dates for the XXL Freshman freestyles and cyphers. Remember, everything is subject to change, like how some dates swapped in the last two years and we haven't gotten any cypher footage yet, so I can't really provide that. The website is setup differently this time too but here is what it should be, in order of freestyles and the interviews:

6/27 - Rico Nasty

WEEK 2:

XXXTENTACION and Ski Mask The Slump God's DJ, DJ Scheme is the DJ for this year. Like I said I'll continue to update when needed and when things change!

Edit: It changed since I originally posted. DaBaby and Megan The Stallion are now the first two instead of YBN Cordae and Rico Nasty. YK Osiris was added as the last person. I'm not sure if that will change because they usually do the fanvote last no matter what. I'm not sure if the cypher preview and Osiris' freestyle and interview are going to both be on week three but it's a safe bet.
