Hey everyone, so I usually lurk this subreddit, but you might have seen me posting around r/freshalbumart or r/hiphopimages. Anyways, I just wanted to give a big thanks to all the content that is posted here. It's definitely helped me find artists that I really enjoy and has been my main drive for this project. So three years ago when I was a junior in college, I did my first two hiphop illustrations of Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco. I had a lot of fun making them, and continued making more for another year. After I finished ten of them, I thought it would be sick if I made three more and turned them into a card deck! So I did that which you can see here. These were hand printed and cut (fun senior project). I've automated it since then though haha.

Anyways, I spent a lottt of time expanding and improving my style. Driving elements from my old style, as well as a new vector abstract look. I also started a full time job, so I'd come home and work on this project. I never thought I'd actually finish though...I spent a lot more time detailing each image than previously. I'd say I put in over 200+ hours into it. Anyways on to the art though.

Here's a link to the full deck:

I need to give a very large shoutout to my friend Parker Gibson whom I collaborated with on the Frank Ocean, Vince Staples, and Freddie Gibbs pieces. Honestly I love how those are stylized, and they wouldn't have had that extra "pop" if it wasn't for him. He's a talented guy and worth following! Also need to shoutout my friend Evan De Stefano who took the photos for me. And finally thanks again to this community for helping inspire me with music (and for being one of the funniest subreddits I visit lol).

Also I do have these for sale at my site - Brandonspahn.com, but I don't want to make this post focused on that, and I can delete the link if the mods would like. I just wanted to share the link in case someone is interested. Actually, I just set up a promo code and if you use "Reddit" you'll save 20%.

From Z. Konketsuji: My debut album "The Patient Discovery" has done well over 100k in streaming, and that wouldn't have been possible without you all. THANK YOU.

Hello /r/hiphopheads,

I know it's been a little while since you last heard from me (a few months), but I just wanted to stop by today to say how much I love and appreciate the community here. The past few months have been pretty incredible, and there's so much that I want to share with y'all, but before I do that, I have to say thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you for rallying behind me when literally no one else would. No media company. No other forum. No one. I dropped my debut album on December 20th of last year, and the community showed up in numbers with words of appreciation and support (I was literally on the front page in-between posts about Tupac and Kendrick for over a day or so). Since that day, I've had artists of multiple mediums that many of you all know give me words of support (even pitch me to different places), and words can't express how appreciative I am of it. I know for a fact that if it weren't for the love and support of this community, no one would have given me the light of day.

As I mentioned in my last Instagram post, The Patient Discovery has done well over 100k in streaming across all platforms (90k on Spotify alone), which is crazy to think about. Most people I know don't even really fuck with my music like that, and some of them don't even see the potential in it, so to think thousands upon thousands out there all across the world are bumping my shit and filled with emotion is beautiful beyond words to me.

Thank you for supporting me and my dreams. I could never do this without y'all. My goal is to find a way to live off of it all sometime soon. I'm desperately in need of management at this stage (had to quit my regular job to focus on everything 100%), so if anyone here knows someone, please help a brother out!

More music and visuals are coming soon. I'm gonna have some special shit for y'all.

If any of you all who fuck with me have Twitter or Instagram accounts, give ya manz a follow god damnit! I wanna interact with y'all and all that. I'm @zkonketsuji everywhere online!

For those of you who are sitting on their phones or at their computers like, "Who the fuck is this dude?"

1) Here's my AMA with /r/hiphopheads from a few months ago. Check it out if you want to give my album a listen and learn some stuff about me!

2) Here are all of the places that you can find my album online!

Good break up songs

Posted: 05 Apr 2017 06:12 PM PDT

Broke up with the girl that I was basically in love with for a while. It was a mutual breakup, things didn't really work out and we're both moving on. Still get in my feels sometimes though. Give me some good hip hop songs for this breakup.
