[FIRST IMPRESSIONS] Lil Nas X - MONTERO

Montero (stylized in all caps) is the debut studio album by American rapper and singer Lil Nas X. It was released on September 17, 2021, by Columbia Records. The album was announced in 2019, and its title unveiled in March 2021, following the release of "Montero (Call Me by Your Name))", the lead single. Montero was also preceded by the singles "Sun Goes Down)" and "Industry Baby", and features collaborations with Jack Harlow, Doja Cat, Elton John, Megan Thee Stallion, and Miley Cyrus.

In early 2020, Lil Nas X asked Take a Daytrip, a production duo who helped with his debut extended play 7), to executively produce his debut album. Lil Nas X would then start recording a series of demos during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdowns.

On September 18th 2020 Lil Tecca released his second major project after his debut "We Love You Tecca". Lil Tecca took the game by storm with that project selling 70k first week. By comparison Virgo world sold far less putting up 35k sales first week. The project is full of generic "internet money/sound cloud" songs that seem to have been manufactured to have another "Ransom". The only song I like is "Out of Love".
