"We expect mainstream hip-hop to catch things late in general. When we come up with these ideas for the select group of people who know, we're not throwing millions of dollars of promoting behind it. It's funny -- Logic a few years ago, he was putting out The Incredible True Story, and he had Steve Blum, an anime voice actor, narrate his record. I was talking to [Logic], "Yeah man, I been into anime for years and I want to combine anime, video games, comic books with hip-hop, and nobody is doing that yo!" Uh, allow me to inform you there have been people doing it for years, its called "nerdcore" [Logic replied] "Oh! I heard about that! I just never knew what it was." "Yeah, we been kind of doing that, it's dope you want to take it to the mainstream and I hope its accepted and if you love it you should do it." I remember having that conversation with him being like "Yo man, nobody is doing this, I'm thinking ahead", but to me, one Google would show you it's been done."
