If you're looking for a recommendation give a description/music link/artist so that other people will know what you want.

Example: I want to hear an artist that sounds like old Kanye (you can get more specific but that's enough imo). And then someone will respond with X, Y, and Z

You can also recommend an artist/project/scene

Example: You guys should check out DJ Mustard's mixtape Ketchup RIYL (recommended if you like) post-hyphy and minimalistic west coast beats.

Remember, the point of this thread is to share music, try not to post stuff that's already really popular unless it answers someone's question.

Also the more descriptive you guys are with your posts the easier it is to help you find what you want, just stating an artists name isn't that helpful since you might only like one specific aspect of that artist's music.

Look through past posts here

Joey Bada$$ is currently wine wasted talking mad shit on instagram live

Posted: 06 Jan 2018 08:40 PM PST

Joey said he has all kinds of collabs (can't link the live right now but some artists that stuck out to me were Vince, X, and DOOM) (Joey didn't specify which X so any speculation is welcome and wanted)

Joey also said that Kanye approached him at his Coachella performance and said that Joey inspired Kanye to write Real Friends (weird).

EDIT: The live is over now but you can find it on his profile.

As has been pointed out, other artists Joey named include J.I.D and A$AP Ferg.

Producer Supah Mario not credited by TM88 for ‘Mood’ beat after making majority of it

Posted: 06 Jan 2018 02:09 AM PST

Original Instrumental made in August 22, 2016

TM88 added a synth to the beat. It is unknown how Southside contributed to this beat.

TM88 gives him credit, in a tweet, while saying he wants a fade and calling him a crybaby for wanting credit.

Soundcloud release, no credit, but At 0:13 you can hear his "Supah Mario" tag.

Worldstar release with no credit as a producer.

TM88 also didn't give credit to JW Lucas after speeding up his beat, that was responsible for majority of the beat, until it was brought to his attention.

EDIT: Supah Mario has been added to the title after TM88 tried to erase evidence that Supah Mario was on the song.

If you like Notorious BIG

Posted: 06 Jan 2018 08:59 PM PST

then you should definitely watch the 1990 film King of New York.

The only reason I know about this movie is because Biggie Smalls refers to himself as Frank White in a few of his songs and that's based off the main character in The King of NY. It's a great film and fairly under-rated/unknown. Christopher Walkens (Frank White), Steve Buscemi, Wesley Snipes, and Laurence Fishburne are in the movie.

Notorious BIG is #1 and this movie made me like him even more haha. Watch it even if you don't like Biggie. But who doesn't like Biggie lol?
