Friendly reminder that we have subreddit rules that are linked right on the sidebar. You should read them.

We get hundreds of posts a day that break the rules—that we then have to remove, and that people sometimes angrily message us about afterward.

Reminders:

  • "Who is the best ___?" / "What is your favorite __?" type questions go in the Daily Discussion threads. These type of low effort ranking questions are exactly what the DDs were made for.

  • We have a Favorites List that you cannot post songs from, that is also located right on the sidebar. When you go to submit a link there's also a big red popup telling you to make sure you aren't posting a song from an album on the list too.

  • Artist Name - Song Title must be in the post title when you submit a song. This is a rule that applies for big-name rappers and for soundcloud struggle rappers alike—make sure their name and the song title is in the submission head. "check out this fire song guys!!" is not a good submission title.
