We worked Riff Raff's merch booth across the Midwest during warped tour 2015. Ama

Posted: 27 May 2017 10:45 AM PDT

For a little background, after Riff was announced for Warped 2015, it was posted on his social media that they were taking volunteers to work his merch booth. As volunteers you'd receive free access into Warped, get to watch Riff's set, and meet him afterwards. Neon Icon had been out about a year but my friend and I were huge Riff fans so we signed up to work the Cleveland and Detroit dates. We ended up doing those two and apparently almost no one who had previously volunteered showed up to the past dates, so Riff's tour manager offered us $50 each for every additional date we would come help at. We ended up going to Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, St Louis, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, and Kansas City.

Now, my friend and I took a couple weeks off work for this, but we worked full time, so we had the money to help get around. The main thing Riff's manager would never cough up the $50 for each of us after every date we helped at, he kept having excuses like, "oh man, Jody's gotta pay for his house, dude, we'll get you the money later" or some shit like that. In the end, I think only one date did he pay us in cash, and we ended up getting a couple Riff Raff shirts in the mail as "compensation".

TL;DR- friend and I volunteered for Riffs merch booth, ended up agreeing to work it in exchange for money, never got paid because Riff is cheap.

I'd go into more detail and shit, but I'll just let y'all ask the questions

Went to see Denzel Curry yesterday at Pomona and it had to be one of the greatest shows I have ever seen

Posted: 27 May 2017 10:40 AM PDT

Wow. I have seen my fair share of artists. I've seen kanye, earl, young thug, future, migos, Travis, Rae Sremmurd, schoolboy Q, Kendrick and a few others and Denzel Curry had a more live show than all of them.

Now granted it was a smaller crowd than those other artists I saw but the way he interacted with the crowd and control he showed over the audience as a whole was ridiculous. Every song was filled with 100% energy. He was running up and down the stage all while rapping at the speed of light.

And how well he handled each song was fantastic. Whereas for G**K he started off by getting weird and doing this ceremonial dance he does before the song, for My Life was sung with such a raw but attractive quality to it.

The crowd interaction was fantastic too. At one time some guy threw his shirt on stage so he could clean a little puddle of water on stage and he asked who it was and looked for him in the crowd to personally tell him that he "Fucks with him". And later in the show he noticed a girl in the very front, right by the barricade, not enjoying it like everyone else. Apparently she hadn't changed her facial expression for the first 5 songs of the show and so he called her out and sung my life and was looking straight at her so as to get this one specific person more into the show. And then near the end of the show he told everyone to make a huge circle so that we could do a Cyclone, which at that point and time, I was oblivious as to what a cyclone was. So he tells us to make a giant circle, like a 15 or 20 foot long circle and picks this white dude with a button up to be the leader and he sticks his hand up, and when he tells us too, we just run full sprint in a circle with the drop which was absolutely insane. (He seems to have a habit of doing something crazy with the crowds when he performs. When I saw him at Coachella, he made the audience do a 40 foot wall of death)

All in all, I've seen Denzel twice and he puts on one of the best shows you'll ever see. For only $20, this is definitely worth it. I'll post some snapchat videos I have a little later if anybody wants to see, but just know they are a bit shaky from the constant moshing
