Posted: 03 Apr 2022 03:04 PM PDT I'll start. I think 21 and Metro shoulda used the beat from Many Men for Snitches & Rats on Savage Mode II. I just was listening to Savage Mode II again and came across "Snitches & Rats", where on the preceding interlude Morgan Freeman explains the differences between snitches and rats. The way Freeman delivers the final line… "a rat… is a fuckin' rat…" still gives me chills. Like Freeman would make a badass mob boss in a crime movie. The only problem is the beat for the actual song is so underwhelming after such a huge moment on the album. I really think they should have used a heavier impact beat, maybe even the Runnin' beat. Got me thinking of other mashups or moments that might have hit way heavier if the artists had chosen one beat over another. [link] [comments] |
