Did Andre Nickatina (then Dre Dog) ever call Biggie out?

Andre Nickatina (then Dre Dog) released his album The New Jim Jones in 1993. Biggie released Ready To Die in 1994, and it has some notable similarities:

Lips uses the same sample as Big Poppa.
The Ave uses the same sample as Juicy.
Dre Dog references the nickname "Puff Daddy" in Off That Chewy. Sean Combs seems to have gone by just "Puff" before he released his own album in 1997 [1].

IMO, any of these things could be a coincidence on their own, but taken all together it seems fishy.

Did Dre Dog ever mention all this? His name doesn't appear in the mainstream story of the east vs. west coast rap beef.

[1] this is hard to verify. Wikipedia sort of implies it. A usenet search for "Puff Daddy" returns lots of results for 1997 and older, but nothing for 1996 and older.
