George Floyd murder/Minneapolis protest Megathread Posted: 29 May 2020 08:38 PM PDT This is the official thread regarding anything related to George Floyd, Minnesota, and national protests. There will be zero tolerance for disrespectful comments in this thread. George Floyd is a man who was killed by Minneapolis PD officer Derek Chauvin on May 25th, 2020. Floyd was handcuffed and the officer had him face-down on the ground before taking a knee on his neck for no less than 8 minutes and 46 seconds. Floyd repeatedly stated that he could not breathe, but his statements fell on deaf ears. In the following days, protests broke out across the nation.
