Does the album cover art affect your listing experience and how you view the album?

I'm huge into music, and have found the if I listen to an album with cover art I am not a fan of, it actually affects what I feel about the album unintentionally. This of course isn't on purpose, and I try to find things I like about the album instead. One of the biggest examples of this for me is Lil Baby's Street Gossip. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the cover art, and it ultimately turned me off from the album even though there are some good songs on it. Was wondering if anyone else felt this way?

EDIT: Just want to let you guys know I don't mean I just look at the cover art and because it's bad I don't listen to the album or automatically hate it, I mean as I am listening to the album, seeing the cover art puts me off, which usually means I don't go back to it after I listen. Also thanks for all the thought out responses, this was a genuine question I had for a while.

If y'all remember we've done [HYPE WEEK] a bunch of times.

Previous weeks: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. If someone wants to make a Spotify playlist of everything that's been posted so far I can add it to the OP and future OPs.

Rules

Artists qualify if they're never gotten 50 or more upvotes on /r/HipHopHeads (counting features)

Formatting:

Artist - Title

Description: no character minimum but some things that might be good to include: where the rapper is from, what subgenres they might fall into, have cosigns they might have, what their influences are/who they sound like.

Example:

Aaron May - Let Go

17 year old Houston Rapper, biggest influences are J Cole and Nas.

The highest upvoted songs might be collected for a playlist or something.

Heavily recommended: If you post a song, listen to another song and comment on it. Otherwise it doesn't rly work that well.

Ignorant/hard trap with clear chicago drill influence, great flow and generally high energy.

Baltimore trap rapper who's been active for the later half of this decade, he's been notable in the Baltimore scene for a while but has recently gotten way more attention thanks to his viral How To Rob track based on 50 Cent's song of the same name, altho I think it's just ok compared to most of his output. Also he has a stupid amount of back and forth tracks with various Bmore & DMV rappers which I really like.

Abhi The Nomad

I do my best to be aware of and support brown music acts and Abhi is so ridiculously talented that he's blown up with a niche fanbase yet he's still hard underrated on this sub. He blends rapping with a very indie rock sound (especially on Marbled, his second album), and he also produces everything himself which is crazy to think about when you hear the diverse sounds he has in his discography. I might not be able to see him on his upcoming tour but I did go last year and he absolutely killed it (along with Harrison Sands, another super cool collaborator with an amazing voice). Super nice to talk to after the show as well.

Speaking of brown artists...

Rajan

Indian-Canadian artist Rajan, in so many ways, is reminicent of a young Take Care/So Far Gone era Drake. The smooth R&B mixed with braggadocious rapping is addicting and I constantly find myself hitting repeat on songs like The Drama and Pick a Side. Much more lowkey than Abhi at the moment (several millions of streams less) but he's definitely got the potential to do something interesting.

Announcing the Throwback Write-Up Series!

EDIT: We decided not to allow any more albums that are on the favorites list. There were 11 albums that were already picked that are on the favorites list so we're allowing them to stay but any other requests for albums on the favorites list will not be allowed

Today the HHH mods are announcing the Throwback Write-Up Series. This will be a biweekly series where a user from this sub will pick an older album to do an in depth write-up/review about. The specific criteria would be any album released before 2010 that is allowed to be posted in this sub. We do not yet have a specific date for when the write ups will start because we need users to sign up to write for it beforehand. Ideally we would like to start within the next month. Once we start, write ups will be posted every other Thursday.

The format for the write-ups will be largely left up to the author, but a good easy to follow structure would be the structure that is used for the AOTY write-ups which are divided into background, review, and favorite lyrics. The post should be titled: Throwback Write-up #__: Artist - Title. The write-ups should be written by someone that is a big fan of the album and a certain amount of effort is expected. Track by track reviews aren't banned but there should be more effort than just a brief description of what happens in each song, try to explain more about why you like the album and what you think it does well.

During the AOTY write up series that is done every year, a common issue is people signing up to do a write-up and then never actually doing it. Not wanting to do a write-up is obviously fine but if you say you want to do a write up don't flake on it. If a legitimate issue comes up and you can't finish the write-up, then let me know as soon as possible so I can try to schedule somebody else. I hope that with a less frequent release schedule this won't be as much of a problem.

If you would like to sign up for an album write-up you can leave a comment below requesting one. If you are able to have your write-up done in the next 30 day's mention that as well so we can get the series started as soon as possible. If you have any more questions, then reply below as well. Please do not DM me about this until this thread is archived, I don't want to get a million DMs.
