The title is a conclusion drawn from multiple sources, not just one clear cut statement made by Akademiks.

Akademiks just gets away with this shit and contradicts himself so I'm here to point it out. PJ to the fucking rescue.

He claimed he couldn't listen to Frank Ocean or Usher songs the same way after finding out about their sexuality. Usher is allegedly bisexual (herpes scandal) and Frank Ocean is admittedly bisexual.

homophobic statements video at 1:46 he talks about how he'd be disappointed while listening to Ushers music if it is true that Usher is attracted to men. He expressed these feelings of disappointment towards Frank Ocean's music also in other videos that I don't have time to find right now.

On the other hand he claims he can separate the personal lives of artists from their music when it comes to rape, abuse, or pedophilia. If you don't watch the whole thing here are time stamps 0:00-1:21 gives examples of entertainers with alleged cases of rape, abuse, or pedophilia 1:21-5:55 Details xxxtentacion gruesome and abusive case with ex gf 5:55 Akademiks says he personally separates an artist from their work.

Tl;DR: Akademiks says he can't listen to gay or bi artists in the same way because its disappointing but can separate an artist from their work when it comes to rape, pedophilia, abuse, or killing

EDIT: So many of you guys are asking what my motive is. I'm a very passionate person and I'm passionate about this hip hop thing. This platform is a great way to get my message across. I'm here not necessarily to expose Akademiks but I've seen Akademiks switch up based on what people have requested of him. So here's my request. I would like for him to stop promoting bullshit and making a mockery of poor black men. I also would like him to stop perpetuating homophobia and homophobia in hip hop and misogyny because his actions affect people

EDIT #2: I am not DJ Akademiks nor am I affiliated with him. I actually would like for him to see this so that his content changes. He's cancerous. I get that people think I have an ulterior motive, but I don't. You can all wait and see. I think we should focus on the real issue here but that's just me. Starting to think Akademiks and/or his workers is actually in this thread trying to sway the people
