Apple Music description:

In October 2020, Drake announced via Instagram that we'd be getting his Dark Lane Demo Tapes follow-up, Certified Lover Boy, the following January. That was not the case. The Boy ended up injuring his knee, and the ensuing surgery and rehab pushed the release date back. But two months after the announcement that he was taking time to focus on his recovery, we got confirmation that as far as his work in the studio is concerned, Drake is as nimble as ever.

The Scary Hours 2 pack is composed of three bar-heavy tracks, all of which address the unending demands of life as one of the most influential artists of his generation. On "Wants and Needs", which features Lil Baby, Drake posits himself above the conjecture of the general public, asking us to "leave me out the comments, leave me out the nonsense". On the Rick Ross collaboration "Lemon Pepper Freestyle", Drake laments, "These days fame is disconnected from excellence." Then there is "What's Next", where he broaches the incessant speculation about his time away from the limelight: "Summer, all I did was rest, okay? And New Year's, all I did was stretch, okay? And Valentine's Day, I had sex, okay? We'll see what's about to happen next, okay?" Yes, Drake, that is OK, and yes, we absolutely will.

The anniversary for the release of Take Time is creeping up on us all....what a year it's been. My first two EPs were stories about a chapter in my love life. The bright spots and the nuisances. I really just used music as a vehicle to exhibit all of my vulnerabilities and truths... the fact that so many people are moved by my stories leaves me speechless everyday. I'm beyond grateful and blessed to have you all along every step of the journey.
I decided to combine both of my first two eps into one project: When It's All Said and Done... Take Time. I also added a new song to the project... the end of a chapter means the start of a new one..

Cool stuff, I can understand why all of these where left off but they are really decent, wish they included some remixes though like JID on swerve and johny venus on run it back

I can't believe that Still Dreamin' was cut. It's in my head since I first heard it.

I wanna see what other songs they cut at this point. Best label album I've ever listened.

There are some standout tracks like Big Black Truck, Still Up, Bussit and Up Up Away but the rest of the songs are also decent. There is not 1 song out of 12 I would consider mediocre or skipalble.

As someone who only cares about J Cole and JID, this album was my biggest surprise of 2019. Never knew this one would've been my most played one

Surprised nobody is talking about No Chorus, everyone snapped on that track

Overall the other major highlights were Big Black Truck, Still Up, and Up Up Away. I didn't dislike any tracks besides maybe Passcode

Just under a year after his critically acclaimed LP "To Pimp a Butterfly", Kendrick surprised (some) fans with a 34 minute compilation record composed of loose B-side tracks made during and after the making of his second album. The release of this album was allegedly prompted by LeBron James, who tweeted at Top Dawg asking the label to officially release the tracks, some of which he had been performing at shows (notably untitled 02 and untitled 08). This compilation record sees guest features from fellow TDE natives such as SZA, Punch and Jay Rock, as well as production credits from Swizz Beats' then-5 year old son on "untitled 07" (later named "levitate")

We are sad to announce the passing of Maine-O of 11/5. We would like to send love to his family, friends and fans from across the globe. "Everybody Light Your Vega" 💔😓 #ripmaineo

Maine-O was the probably the least-known member of 11/5 (Hennessy had the distinct voice and Taydatay had the most prolific solo career,) but aside from rapping he also sang the hooks, so he was the most quoted. Below are a few of his better-known tracks:

OMBPeezy has been arrested for the shooting that took place during #RoddyRicch & #42Dugg's music video shoot in Atlanta on February 21st. Peezy is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm during a felony. Peezy's long-awaited new album #TooDeepForTears is still scheduled to be released on Friday
