DRAKEO THE RULER's second trial was today. His various murder/attempted murder charges were dropped AGAIN. He is STILL in jail.

Posted: 02 Sep 2020 04:14 PM PDT

A couple years ago Drakeo was tried for a variety of murder charges with little to no evidence (literally picking apart subject lyrics were the prosecutors most compelling pieces of evidence). All his charges were DROPPED in this trial. Unbelievable, they RECHARGED him with the same charges and more immediately afterwards the trial was over.

Drakeo's second trial was today and AGAIN, he was acquitted of 1st degree murder, acquitted of conspiracy to commit murder, acquitted of FIVE charges of attempted murder and acquitted of a firearms charge.

Worst of all, even though the felonies have been dropped - again - DRAKEO IS STILL IN JAIL.

ITS FREE DRAKEO UNTIL DRAKEO IS FREE.

TDE Engineer MixedByAli is now LIVE on Twitch. He is currently mixing a new song on YG's upcoming album

Posted: 02 Sep 2020 03:20 PM PDT

MixedbyAli Twitch

Currently mixing a new song from YG new album. Song features Ty DollaSign. (song is mid, YG flow is fire tho)

Ali says he will do a Q&A every stream, will hold contests where he will mix a fan submitted song and says he has much more planned.

Also says he is going to have streams where he brings in a chef and he'll show how to stay healthy while working in the studio??

Most of it was him listening to the hook on loop and trying to get the drums correct.

For his Q&A he said some interesting things.

  1. Cartoons and Cereal is his favorite song that he's mixed, due to the intensity of everything happening in the beat.

  2. On 'Wesley's Theory' he said he spent a week alone on mixing the drums to get them right, he messed up quite a few times and was embarrassed at how long it took him, but getting it right and working on the tedious things is what makes someone a good engineer.

[DISCUSSION] Lupe Fiasco - PHARAOH HEIGHT (5 Years Later)

Posted: 02 Sep 2020 11:59 AM PDT

From CoS:

Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco has forged a unique path over his decade long career, building a small army of stans, occasionally putting his foot in his well-spoken mouth, and releasing several well received albums (most recently this year's Tetsuo & Youth). He hasn't waited long to get more content onto the web, today dropping a surprise six-track mixtape called Pharaoh Height.

The mixtape contains no features and two insanely dumb song titles — "In" and "Of" (and before you comment, I see the sequencing and I get what he's going for but come on, maybe just come up with names for six songs?). Instead, Pharaoh Height finds Lupe repurposing beats from The Weeknd ("Kings"), Flying Lotus ("Pyramid"), and J Dilla ("Of"). His wordiness is as present as ever, so much so that he tries to fit "Fibonacci sequence" into a rap song, which is something that literally only Lupe Fiasco would even try.

  1. In (Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain E3)
  2. Valleys (Robert Glasper's — J Dilla Interlude #2)
  3. Of (J Dilla's Donuts)
  4. Kings (The Weeknd's "King of the Fall")
  5. Pyramid (Flying Lotus' "All In")
  6. Schemes

New album from Clever coming December 8th with features from Lil Wayne, Lil Baby, Post Malone, Juice Wrld, and Lil Uzi Vert.

Posted: 01 Sep 2020 02:31 PM PDT

Many don't know the name Clever, but he's been blowing up and is a pretty big deal behind the scenes for many songs. He's written a ton of famous' people's songs and has also a great voice. December 8th is when his album comes out and he just announced today some of the features on it. It's going to be a good album I expect.

IG post

Here's what he has to say to dedicating it to Juice Wrld,

I decided to drop this album on this date because the date itself should be remembered. Its fitting for me with it being my first album on a major label- when Juice gave me my first break. He opened the door for me and instead of mourning his death on that day I'd rather celebrate his life. I was blessed to have features with him- to share the stage with him- to learn from him by watching the way he moves in this industry- and to be able to sit through many recording sessions and watch him do what he did best. I'm forever grateful- I spent my entire life trying to get to this point- and I wouldn't be here without him- this is my major label debut.. It's the first album I've ever made on a major label budget- I could've made the album about anything- I could've made it all about me- but instead I decided to use that opportunity to dedicate it to the man that helped make it possible.. and if you can't respect that you're whole perspective is wack.. don't sit here and talk down on me like I did it for clout- I don't give a fuk about clout.. look at the A-list features on this album- we didn't need views.. they were coming regardless. I did this to show my respect.. I did this to pay homage to someone that didn't have to give me a chance- but took a chance on me.. it was a terrible loss- and I took it hard. I wanted him to see my success and be proud that he played a huge role in it. I'm going to finish what he started for me- but not without starting off on the right foot. Imagine the 100's of thousands of fans that come this way from hearing my music- not all of them are going to be Juice Wrld fans- but the people that come to listen to my music for the next ten years- will know- that they wouldn't have heard it without Juice. Because I'm making it clear. December 8th.. Long Live Juice Wrld. 999

Here's the clever feature on Ring Ring and the song Clever dedicated to Juice Wrld, It's all Bad

"The title was King's Disease before this craziness happened," Nas tells Zane Lowe about his 13th studio album. "Watching all the terror happening all over the country, I just felt the knee on my neck and I felt the knee on our people and I felt like I needed a pride moment. I needed a moment to be happy about our existence, to have made it so far, and all the things that we have done as a people." The MC who once went by Escobar was talking specifically about "Ultra Black," the lead single from King's Disease that serves as equal parts call to action and celebration of Black American resilience. "I box it all out and I think about, 'This is my message.' I hope everybody's okay. I hope they get it and feel what I'm saying," Nas says. "And not just the words, but the vibration, the energy I'm on with myself and how I want to give that back to people. It's just a feeling and it's not against anybody else. It's about inspiring one to have love of self regardless of what's happening around you, to you." In conversation with Zane, Nas is as thoughtful as ever, breaking down key tracks and also going deep on working with producer Hit-Boy, his 2018 NASIR album with Kanye West, the reunion of his old supergroup The Firm, and the new superstars of New York rap, A$AP Ferg and Fivio Foreign.

[DISCUSSION] Kano - Hoodies All Summer

Posted: 31 Aug 2020 11:53 AM PDT

Hoodies All Summer is the sixth studio album by British rapper Kano. The album was released on 30 August 2019 by Parlophone Records and Bigger Picture Music. It follows the album Made in the Manor, released in 2016. It includes guest appearances from Ghetts, D Double E, Popcaan, Kojo Funds and Lil Silva, with production handled by Blue May and Jodi Milliner.

Critical reception

Hoodies All Summer was met with critical acclaim upon its release. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from music critics, the album has received an average score of 79, indicating "generally well received", based on 13 reviews.

Kitty Empire of The Observer stressed the album's "clarion-clear narratives about knife crime and the importance of good times", adding that these topics are "delivered not just with anger and pathos, but humour." William Rosebury of The Line of Best Fit concluded that Hoodies All Summer is "an exceptional achievement, proving once again that Kano is one of the UK's most versatile, thoughtful and talented voices", while complimenting the stripped-back production that "consistently ensures that Kano's voice is always front and centre."
