Which song do you think missed the opportunity for a music video leading up to a bigger song? Posted: 12 Jun 2022 08:09 AM PDT For me it's No More Parties In LA. That song could've easily had a fire music video that could've led up to a much bigger Moment for a Ye x Kendrick collab [link] [comments] |

Do albums generally have shorter lifecycles now? Posted: 12 Jun 2022 11:55 AM PDT The last couple of months we've seen previously very successful artists drop new albums. You could almost insert any recent artist name in here, but specifically I'm thinking of Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone. Previously, it felt like albums were talking points for some time after the release. Songs were replayed, music videos released and staggered throughout and it felt like albums were "alive" a lot longer. Now it feels like the discussions and interest really drops off even just 2 weeks to a month after an album's been released. Maybe it's my personal feelings or some albums just don't hit right, but they sometimes feel a lot more "disposable". It definitely feels like there's either been drops in quality or style switch-ups. What are your thoughts on this. Do you agree, disagree and why? [link] [comments] |
