If you're looking for a recommendation give a description/music link/artist so that other people will know what you want.

Example: "I want to hear an artist that sounds like old Kanye production" (you can get more specific but usually enough). And then someone will respond with recommendations X, Y, and Z.

You can also leave a top level comment recommending an artist/project/scene that you think others might like if they like X, Y, and Z.

Example: "You guys should check out DJ Mustard's mixtape Ketchup RIYL (recommended if you like) post-hyphy and minimalistic west coast beats"

Remember, the point of this thread is to share music, try not to post stuff that's already really popular unless it answers someone's question.

The more descriptive you guys are with your posts, the easier it is to help you find what you want. Just stating an artist's name isn't that helpful since you might only like one specific aspect of that artist's music.

Travis Scott deletes old tweet where he mentions letting extra fans in the crowd

Most below come from /r/travisscott - Just trying to keep this post updated with more info as it comes out. It seems like this event had a rage mentality coming from Travis, a careless crowd, staff that were not good enough or doing their jobs, it was over crowded, and should have had an 18+ age restriction.

Report stating the concert producer has violated OSHA in the past...

Eyewitness account/ Screenshots in case IG post gets removed

Supposedly only 2 total water stations, 1 on each side of the festival

Statement from Astroworld

Crowd chanting stop the show

Someone trying to get attention of people on stage, called a bitch and told to calm down and another angle

100,000+ people crammed into this space not including those who stormed the gates

Crowd vs Security at the gates

Travis Scott seemingly continuing to sing while staring at a passed out fan He stopped the show 3-4 times, and he even mentioned ambulances in the crowd, but ultimately his set was around 75 minutes.

Another instance where it's hard to believe Travis didn't see what was going on...

Astroworld source alleges to TMZ that someone was injecting the crowd with some sort of drug Take with some skepticism given the source of TMZ / Someone close to the event

300+ people injured as young as 10 years old, 11 in cardiac arrest, 8 confirmed dead supposedly the 10 year old died

Travis Scott finally responds around 12:15 PM EST

A clip similar to this is floating around twitter claiming this is the same event, and that the person who stole the shoe in the clip is a 10 year old who died. This is misinformation as the video I linked was uploaded in 2020.

The cause is believed to be crowd crush, here is a decent post explaining that.
