I think down to the name of the album it's perfect. I know this doesn't mean shit but if he was alive to finish it I think it would actually be a perfect 10. Only thing I didn't like were the Boss Top verses. Whole album no skips tho, Von a legend. I was fuckin shocked there wasn't a thread for first impressions yet, there's not much to discuss shits fire. What's ur favorite lyric? Favorite feature? Beat?

All three of those are on Facetime for me, that song is crazy. Evil Twin and Grandson For President are my other favorites. I hope we get the extended Where I'm From one day, still amazing tho.

Anniversaries don't get posted a lot, I feel like part of that is how ephemeral music consumption has become. People aren't listening to stuff a year (or 5 years, or 10 years) later anymore. I think they're great posts and it's nice to discuss albums more than once.

Hello and welcome to the "Lost to Macklemore" rate reveal thread! We rated a quartet of successful and beloved rap albums (and Magna Carta Holy Grail too) which nonetheless are (according to the Grammys) inferior to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "The Heist," and 80 of you sent ballots to help us figure out which ones are the best! Today we'll be revealing the top songs in the rate, from #17 all the way to number 1. The reveal starts about 1 hour from the time of this post at approximately 3PM EST/2PM CST/12PM PST, and if you want you can also watch along with us over on beatsense, where we'll be playing the songs as they go out
