It's been a pretty fucking great weekend fellas I gotta say I'm impressed

It's about half way through the year I guess we're probably due some favourites//overposted list removals and additions soon

I was talking to my boy Brody (stream Father Flowzus that man has a baby otw) about here and he said something to the degree of this place is basically becoming /r/gaming for teens who ~sorta~ like hip-hop and as much as it pains me to agree with him he's right and you don't wanna gate keep liking things but when that becomes your core it's very difficult I think to justify identifying as "hiphopheads"

That's a big old paragraph of nothing; my point is what do you think as generally the most frequent users (cause that's who uses these godforsaken threads) we can do to help foster a better community and a deeper interest without it reverting back to like 2011 backpacker levels

In other news it's a damn shame Barry is over already, hands down top 3 live action anime of the season

If you're looking for a recommendation give a description/music link/artist so that other people will know what you want.

Example: I want to hear an artist that sounds like old Kanye (you can get more specific but that's enough imo). And then someone will respond with X, Y, and Z

You can also recommend an artist/project/scene

Example: You guys should check out DJ Mustard's mixtape Ketchup RIYL (recommended if you like) post-hyphy and minimalistic west coast beats.

Remember, the point of this thread is to share music, try not to post stuff that's already really popular unless it answers someone's question.

Also the more descriptive you guys are with your posts the easier it is to help you find what you want, just stating an artists name isn't that helpful since you might only like one specific aspect of that artist's music.
