There are a few posts with some harrowing claims about things Youngboy has done recently in regards to domestic abuse. It is all just claims and a 1 person account of things at the moment but here are the tweets in accordance to this.

Obviously very worrying if true but it there is no factual evidence behind this yet.

Just want to say, there are a lot of people commenting absolutely trash statements about Youngboy 'Looking the type' or not being surprised of this because he seemed a dick. The kid is cocky no doubt but to to suggest someone looks like they'd beat their girlfriend is so ignorant. Remember as well these are just 3 videos made by one girl. They could all be very true and in that case this would be terrible but these could also not be true. There is no word on this officially nor from Youngboy himself or from his Girl, therefore please at least try to not be as demeaning as some of you are. We don't know the story yet other than these 3 videos.

Recommended If You Like Thread - November 25, 2017

If you're looking for a recommendation give a description/music link/artist so that other people will know what you want.

Example: I want to hear an artist that sounds like old Kanye (you can get more specific but that's enough imo). And then someone will respond with X, Y, and Z

You can also recommend an artist/project/scene

Example: You guys should check out DJ Mustard's mixtape Ketchup RIYL (recommended if you like) post-hyphy and minimalistic west coast beats.

Remember, the point of this thread is to share music, try not to post stuff that's already really popular unless it answers someone's question.

Also the more descriptive you guys are with your posts the easier it is to help you find what you want, just stating an artists name isn't that helpful since you might only like one specific aspect of that artist's music.

So something that I have been thinking a lot about, but want some other input about, is how hip hop was created by black people, but is now taken far beyond their hands, and is now for the masses. Hip hop culture is mass youth culture. I'm not sure if there is an argument against that, but how do we feel about this? Also about the thought of how perhaps hip hop, with it promoting violence and substance abuse in every other word, how that can pigeon hole and create harmful stereotypes for black people to unwillingly have to confront. Has this music genre changed from being a platform for the voiceless, to being a harmful stereotype to be held over their heads as we strip it from their hands and feed it to our white trust fund kids?
