Welcome to HHH Listening Club!

Today we'll be listening to The Carrollton Heist by Curren$y & The Alchemist

Background:

The Carrollton Heist is the second collaborative album by American rapper Curren$y and American record producer The Alchemist. It is the follow-up to their 2011 album Covert Coup. It was self-released on February 14, 2016, and features guest appearances from Styles P, Action Bronson, and Lil Wayne.

If you don't have time to listen to the entire project, please at least listen to Fat Albert with Lil Wayne cause his verse is super hard.

  • Album: The Carrollton Heist
  • Label: Jet Life
  • Producers: The Alchemist
  • Notable Features Lil Wayne, Styles P, Action Bronson
  • Representing: New Orleans
  • Streaming Sources:

    YouTube

Guidelines:

  • This is an open thread to share your thoughts on the album. Avoid vague statements of praise or criticism. This is your chance to be a critic.

  • Please keep any top level comments to 140+ characters. Why do you like this album? What are the best tracks? Did it meet your expectations? Have you listened to this tape before? What is your first impression? Explain why you like it or why you don't.

  • Remember, people who participate in the discussion in a meaningful way are entered into a drawing to select next week's album (if I don't forget to ask in time lol)

The documentary about the Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E. (Tribal Scars) was never finished, but a very short (seven minute) version featuring Battlecat, Sen Dogg & DJ Muggs of Cypress Hill, Everlast, Jacoby of Papa Roach, D12, Ras Kass & Mr. Cartoon can be seen here:
