Recommended If You Like Thread - October 28, 2017

If you're looking for a recommendation give a description/music link/artist so that other people will know what you want.

Example: I want to hear an artist that sounds like old Kanye (you can get more specific but that's enough imo). And then someone will respond with X, Y, and Z

You can also recommend an artist/project/scene

Example: You guys should check out DJ Mustard's mixtape Ketchup RIYL (recommended if you like) post-hyphy and minimalistic west coast beats.

Remember, the point of this thread is to share music, try not to post stuff that's already really popular unless it answers someone's question.

Also the more descriptive you guys are with your posts the easier it is to help you find what you want, just stating an artists name isn't that helpful since you might only like one specific aspect of that artist's music.

A: It's sorted by sales + streaming

Q: What are pure sales?

A: Pure sales are purchases of the album (itunes, amazon, physicals, etc)

Q: Where is X album?

A: Only albums with 10K in sales + streaming are listed

Q: Aren't those numbers low for Drake?

A: Drake released "More Life" on a Saturday night which means that he lost around 2 full days of sales.

Q: What about "4:44"?

A: It didn't have any sales first week as it was a Tidal exclusive and Tidal did not report their streaming numbers.

Q: Why are Ugly God's pure sales "N/A"

A: Ugly God's pure sales were outside of the top 50 for it's release week, meaning the exact number was unknown. It sold fewer than 3K pure copies.

i have only listened to 4 projects that came out yesterday (Ty Dolla Sign, L'Orange, this one, Big KRIT) and this is easily the second best on there, Big KRIT is 1 for me cause of how long it was and how it had no filler in that runtime, thats phenomenal. This album really delivered, like some other user said OVO is 2/2 on releases so far, between this, dvsn album, CTRL, Freudian i think R&B is having a great year so far. i have not listened to any of the singles so the experience was even better in a way for me. the production on this is smooth af and makes me want more, i have only listened to this once but so far, best tracks are: OG Heartthrob, Body Talk, My Imagination, One i Want (PND verse is cool), Phases, What you do to me. i didnt dislike any tracks. i think majid jordan came thru on this one 7.7-8/10
