UK Drill legend Mizormac of Harlem Spartans released from prison after serving 3 years

Posted: 01 Jun 2020 08:55 AM PDT

Instagram video posted on his account announcing his long awaited release

Mizormac was sentenced to 6 years in prison back in 2018 after being pulled over while in a taxi by police who found in his possession a loaded gun and samurai sword. Finally released after serving half of his sentence which is standard in the UK.

For those who don't know Mizormac he's widely regarded as one of if not the best rapper to come out of the UK drill scene and despite being locked up for 3 years his buzz has never died. His release has been one of the most anticipated days for UK drill fans for some time.

Here is some of his work for those who don't know UK drill

His legendary verse on 'Kennington Where It Started'

His verse on 'War'

His verse on 'No Hook'

His verse on 'Splash and Cash'

[Update] this is the company behind the Fetty wap “mixtape”

Posted: 31 May 2020 08:31 AM PDT

Most of y'all probably don't remember my post on here about my concern that Fetty wap was scamming my roommate because I deleted it:

https://www.removeddit.com/r/hiphopheads/comments/gb8nn7/fetty_wap_100_verified_account_dmd_my_roommate/?utm_source=amp&utm_medium=&utm_content=post_title

And while not a outright scam, Fetty wap did charge my roommate $500 to be on a "mixtape" with a bunch of other artist that I personally think no one will ever listen too.

The company behind the mixtape is @520promotions on IG. Basically, to my understanding, FW is letting them use his name for a cut of the $500 and 520promotions is making the mixtapes which FW will not actually be on, at all.

Their videos on ig get like 1k views on IG, so if your considering paying the $500, ask yourself, is it worth it?

Edit: I should mention there will probably be MUTIPLE tapes of randoms that paid.

Here's the original IG message:

[DISCUSSION] Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment - Surf (5 Years Later)

Posted: 31 May 2020 09:08 AM PDT

Surf is the debut studio album by American band The Social Experiment. The album highlights trumpeter Nico Segal, formerly known as "Donnie Trumpet," and was created by Segal along with his band of collaborators - a self-described group of bohemian musicians, consisting of Segal, Chance the Rapper, Peter Cottontale, Greg Landfair Jr., and Nate Fox.

It's been 5 years since this album released. What are your thoughts on it now?
